Jeddah Airport Terminal 4 (T4): Airlines and Opening

Jeddah Airport Terminal 4, or T4, is the newest passenger terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED), and it changes the check-in location for many foreign airlines. It opened in phases from 27 September 2026, and airlines are moving there one by one, so the terminal you used on your last trip may be a different one next time.

ZiyaraGo is an independent information service. This article is based on press reports and on the airline list on the airport's website, which we checked on 14 October 2026. Airline moves are still under way, so always confirm your terminal with your airline, on the airport website or on your ticket before heading to the airport.

How to Find Your Terminal

How to Find Your Terminal

The airport advises checking your terminal with your airline, on the airport website or on its social media before you travel. Compare it with the terminal shown on your ticket or in the airline app on the day of departure, and check again if the airline has recently changed its schedule.

If you have booked a transfer or a pickup from your hotel, give the driver the airline and flight number, not just the terminal: what was true a few weeks ago may have changed.

Terminal 4 and the Other Jeddah Terminals

King Abdulaziz International Airport has several terminals: Terminal 4 operates alongside Terminal 1, the North Terminal for foreign airlines, and the Hajj and Umrah terminals. Our page for each terminal lists its services and the airlines assigned to it.

If You Arrive at the Wrong Terminal

Go to your airline's desk or to the information desk in the terminal where you arrived and ask where your flight is handled. Do this early: moving between terminals takes time. Keep your boarding pass details ready.

Do not leave the airport grounds until you have confirmed the terminal. If the signs are unclear, ask the airline for the exact check-in area.

Why Airlines Are Moving

According to reports, the aim of the move is to bring foreign airlines together in the new terminal, while the North Terminal and part of the Hajj and Umrah terminals will be repurposed. That is why each terminal has a different number of airlines on the airport list, and why the lists keep changing in the first months.

Tips for a Smooth Day at the Airport

Arrive at the airport with time to spare, especially in the first weeks after the move. Save the airline's phone number from your booking and follow the signs for your terminal when you arrive.

If you are flying as a group on a Hajj or Umrah program, ask the organizer which check-in area your group will use.

How We Chose

We prepared this article from Khaleej Times, Gulf News and Arab News reports on the opening of Terminal 4 and from the airport's airline list on kaia.sa, checked on 14 October 2026, and retold it in our own words. Airline moves are still under way, so confirm the terminal with your airline.

Tips

  • Confirm your terminal with the airline or on the airport website before every trip.
  • On the day of departure, check the terminal again against your ticket.
  • Give the driver the airline and flight number, not just the terminal.
  • In the first weeks after the move, arrive at the airport with extra time.
  • Groups on Hajj and Umrah programs should ask the organizer about the group check-in area.
