Overview

Terminal 4 is the newest passenger terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. It began operating in phases on 27 September 2026. According to press reports it has a total area of 97,000 square metres and a capacity of up to 15 million passengers a year. The airport describes it as serving international low-cost carriers, and it includes a dedicated facility for completing group check-in procedures for pilgrims travelling for Hajj or Umrah.

Who is moving there

The transition plan moves the foreign airlines that used the North Terminal, together with selected foreign airlines from Terminal 1 and the Hajj and Umrah terminals, in stages. The first airlines moved on 27 September 2026 and others followed during the first days of October. We do not list airlines here, because the plan is still being carried out and can change.

How to be sure of your terminal

  • Check the terminal with your airline or on your ticket before you travel.
  • Jeddah Airports advises passengers to verify the terminal on the official platforms of their airline and on the website and social accounts of King Abdulaziz International Airport.
  • Allow extra time on your first arrival or departure in case you went to a different terminal than before.
