Hotels Near the Prophet's Mosque in Medina: Views, Prices, Ratings
A comparison of seven hotels near the Prophet's Mosque in Medina: Pullman Zamzam, Crowne Plaza, Elaf Al Taqwa, Dar Al Taqwa, The Biltmore, Saja and Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick. Views according to the hotels, rooms, food, walking distance, a sample price and guest ratings with sources.
Most travelers looking for hotels near the Prophet's Mosque in Medina choose among a handful of towers and mid-sized hotels around the mosque. They differ in how close they really are, what the view from the room is like, the food on offer and guest ratings. This article puts seven of them side by side, linking each hotel in our catalog and its official website where there is one.
ZiyaraGo is an independent information service, not a hotel operator. Ratings and sample prices were checked on public platforms on 19 October 2026, mostly through the Kayak aggregator, which collects scores from Booking, Agoda and other sources. They change every day and differ between platforms, so use them for comparison rather than for budgeting, and confirm the price and exact room category with the hotel before you pay.
In Brief: Which Hotel Suits Whom
If you want the highest guest ratings, Dar Al Taqwa Hotel, The Biltmore Al Madinah Hotel and Elaf Al Taqwa Hotel have 9.1 out of 10 on Kayak, and Pullman Zamzam Madina has 8.7. If you want the largest hotel with many room categories, Pullman Zamzam Madina lists 834 rooms and suites. If you want a mid-sized hotel with the lowest sample price among the SAR rates we checked, Crowne Plaza Madinah showed 290 SAR per night, against 317 SAR at Pullman Zamzam Madina and 393 SAR at Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick Hotel.
If the main reason for your choice is a view of the Haram, the hotels word it differently: Dar Al Taqwa Hotel says most of its room types face the Haram, The Biltmore Al Madinah Hotel says it faces the mosque directly, Elaf Al Taqwa Hotel lists a panoramic Haram view in its junior suites, and Pullman Zamzam Madina lists room types with a Haram view or a panoramic Haram view.
How Close Is "Near"?
Hotels in this area describe their location in steps or in meters, and platforms give different figures: Dar Al Taqwa says it is 3 meters from the main entrance to the mosque, the official Pullman Zamzam page says 100 meters, and aggregators show 0.3 to 0.6 km for several hotels. The walking minutes in our table are estimates from our catalog for an ordinary pace, so use them to rank the hotels, not as a promise.
Also check which gate your hotel is closest to. The mosque has several entrances, and a hotel close to one gate may be farther from another.
Comparison Table: Rooms, Views, Food and Distance
Views are taken from the hotels' own pages where available. Walking minutes are estimates from our catalog, and the hotels' own wording of the distance is given in the last column.

Guest Ratings and a Sample Price
Ratings come from different platforms, so they cannot be compared directly: a score out of 10 on Kayak or Booking is not equal to a score out of 5 at Accor. The price column shows the lowest rate found on Kayak for one night for two guests on a single date for each hotel, in Saudi riyals including VAT (stay dates 20 to 26 October 2026, so the hotels are not priced for the same night). For Elaf Al Taqwa and Saja the same platform returned prices in US dollars, so they are not compared here; see them on the hotel pages.
For Ramadan, school holidays and the last ten days of Ramadan, ask each hotel for the price on your dates.
| Hotel | Guest rating (source) | Number of reviews | Sample price, 1 night, 2 guests |

| Pullman Zamzam Madina | 8.7 / 10 (Kayak); 4.6 / 5 (Accor); 9.2 / 10 (Trip.com) | 7,032; 10,968; 966 | 317 SAR (stay on 25 Oct) |
| Crowne Plaza Madinah | 8.3 / 10 (Kayak) | 3,717 | 290 SAR (stay on 25 Oct) |

How to Get a Haram View Without Overpaying
Check the exact wording of the category. "Haram view" can mean a full view of the mosque, a view of the square or a partial view, and some hotels list it only for suites. Ask the hotel to confirm the category name and the range of floors in writing.
Compare the same dates on the hotel's website and on a single booking platform, and read the cancellation policy before you look at the price.
When Prices Change and When to Book
The sample prices here were taken for individual dates from 20 to 26 October 2026. First settle your own dates, then compare the hotels for exactly those nights.
If you need a specific view or a family room, book as early as a rate you are comfortable with allows, choose a refundable rate and recheck the price a few weeks before arrival.
How We Chose
We put this comparison together from the hotels' official pages, public platforms and ratings checked on 19 October 2026, and from our catalog, and rewrote everything in our own words. Guest reviews are retold as themes from aggregator pages. Where the hotel's own pages and the platforms disagree, we say so.
Tips
- Choose not only by name but by gate: find out which entrance the hotel is closest to.
- Ask in writing for the exact view category: a full view, a partial view and a square view are different rooms.
- Compare the same dates on the hotel's website and on a single booking platform, and read the cancellation policy first.
- Ask for a higher floor if the view matters.
- For Ramadan and school holidays, ask each hotel for the price on your dates.
