Wadi Qanat Walkway is a landscaped promenade along the Qanat valley canal in the Al Uyun district, open around the clock. Visitors come in the evening for picnics with children, food stalls and a view of Mount Uhud. On Google Maps it holds 4.5 stars from more than 800 reviews. Common complaints: litter, few places to sit, and the canal water, which guests describe as treated wastewater, so it is a place to walk beside, not to touch.

Wadi Qanat (the name means “channel”) is a historic valley south of Mount Uhud, linked to the Battle of Uhud, that runs to a junction with the Bat’haan and Al-Aqeeq valleys. According to the Saudi Press Agency (October 2025), Madinah Municipality rehabilitated the valley banks, built plazas and walkways paved with natural marble, planted palms and green areas, added ground lighting and built a scenic overlook where the valley meets the airport road.
