Souk Okaz

Souk Okaz is the site of the historic Okaz market, a seasonal trading and cultural gathering of the Arabian Peninsula long before the modern city. It lies north-east of Taif, about 35 km from the city centre in a straight line. Today the site is used for cultural events and an annual festival.
