Visa & Nusuk
Documents and permits
Get an Umrah or tourist e-visa, install Nusuk and Tawakkalna, and book your Umrah and Rawdah permits. Keep passport valid for at least six months.
What to pack
Light and practical
Two Ihram sets (men), comfortable sandals, a small backpack, unscented soap, a power bank and a refillable bottle.
Health
Heat and crowds
Get the meningitis vaccine, drink water often, use an umbrella in the sun and rest between rituals. Hospitals near the Haram are open 24/7.
Money & SIM
Cards, cash, eSIM
mada and Apple Pay work almost everywhere; keep some riyals for small shops. Buy a tourist SIM or eSIM at the airport.
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ
Subḥānalladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahu muqrinīn, wa innā ilā Rabbinā lamunqalibūn
