Masjid Al-Rayah, also known as Masjid Al-Juwardariya, holds significant historical and spiritual value in Islamic heritage. This mosque was famously located at the site where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ placed his flag during the Conquest of Mecca in Ramadan 8 AH (January 630 CE). Although Masjid Al-Rayah was demolished in 2012 as part of the northern courtyard expansion of Masjid Al-Haram, its legacy continues to be remembered by Muslims worldwide as a symbol of an important moment in Islamic history.
