Miqat Yalamlam

Location:
Miqat Yalamlam is located approximately 92 km south of Makkah. It serves pilgrims traveling from Yemen and other southern regions of Saudi Arabia, including Jizan and Asir. It is a key point for those entering Makkah from the south by land or sea.

Historical Significance:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ designated Yalamlam as the miqat for pilgrims from Yemen and southern regions. Historically, it was a critical stop for caravans heading to Makkah. Over time, it became the place where pilgrims make their intention (niyyah) and enter ihram before approaching the sacred lands.

Modern Facilities:
- Mosque: A spacious mosque for prayers and entering ihram.
- Sanitary Areas: Includes showers, restrooms, and wudu facilities.
- Parking: Ample space for buses and cars.
- Shops: Selling ihram garments, prayer rugs, Zamzam water, and other essentials.
- Rest Areas: Comfortable places to relax before proceeding to Makkah.
Accessibility:
- For road travelers: The miqat is easily accessible via major roads connecting southern regions.
- For sea travelers: This is the closest miqat for those arriving through southern ports.

Fun Fact:
